Form Follows Function
This "architectural" principle also applies to creating web sites and web applications.
  1. What is the site's function or goal and
  2. design the site to achieve that function or goal.

Here are examples of how SpeckledFish applied this concept to its clients' websites (links open in a new window).

Cara Lopez Lee
(writer - still photographer - tv producer)

Ms. Lee offers Adventure Workshops and needed an online marketing presence to discuss her workshops and provide online registration. SpeckledFish built a site that helped market the workshops, Cara's memoir and allowed for online workshop registrations through PayPal. (visit site)
Cara Lopez Lee
(writer - still photographer - tv producer)

Ms. Lee needed a site to showcase her extensive repertoire of work. SpeckledFish created an artistic site that reflected Ms. Lee's creative flair. SpeckledFish developed the site using XHTML & PHP and used CSS for layout. (visit site)
RTG & Associates:
RTG & Associates needed a new web site to more efficiently service its clients. Prior to having SpeckledFish develop its web site, RTG & Associates had to physically speak with each client and email them required documentation. RTG has exponentially increased its efficiency by loading all its required documentation so its clients can read and download them 24 x 7. SpeckledFish developed the site using XHTML & PHP and used CSS for layout. (visit site)
Emotional Intelligence Learning System (EILS):
EILS had a 113-item, paper based Emotional Intelligence Skills Assessment (ESAP) they used to help clients and wanted to automate their ESAP with an online version. SpeckledFish converted the manual, paper-based system with an online database-driven and managed version. (visit site)
